Jon was born and raised in Bismarck, ND, graduating from Bismarck High in 2002.
He grew up working for Dakota Fence, completing multiple projects all over the state of North Dakota during his 6 ½ years there.
Jon has been in the lawn and tree industry since 2004. He has continued his quest for knowledge by earning Certified Landscape Professional (CLP) and Certified Turfgrass Professional for Cool Season Lawns (CTP-CSL) through the national organization, PLANET. He earned a B.S. in Business Finance from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs in 2006.
Jon is actively involved in the community and landscape industry. He serves on the Chamber of Commerce Rising Professionals Business Roundtable and is the chair of the Recreation Committee. He is the team leader for the Associated Landscape Contractors of Colorado Southern Chapter, which did a $50,000 charitable landscape project for the Memorial Children’s Hospital in 2011 and $40,000 charitable project for Aspen Pointe.
Jon was also named “Rising Star” by the Colorado Springs Business Journal in 2010. In 2012, Jon was honored with the Outlook Award from the Associated Landscape Contractors of Colorado. This award is given to one emerging leader each year for their time volunteering in the landscape organization.
In 2015, Jon was awarded Young Entrepreneur of the Year by the BBB/SBDC for the Southern Colorado Region. He has also been featured and has made contributions national publication, Lawn & Landscape Magazine, multiple times over the last few years.
Tim is the owner of Timberline Landscaping Inc. Tim has been in business for 31 years.
Tim has been involved in commercial, land development, and residential projects. Those projects include design installation, irrigation, hardscapes, seeding, maintenance, snow removal, Christmas Décor, just to name a few.
Tim has won many awards for various landscape projects including the prestigious Colorado Chapter of American Society of Landscape Architects 2005 Contractor of the Year, and numerous “Excellence in Landscape Awards.”
Tim holds numerous certifications in the landscape industry including Certified Landscape Professional, Certified Snow Professional and Landscape Certified Industry Technician. He believes that continued education is a key to everyone’s success.
Tim currently sits on the State Board of Licensure for Landscape Architects. He has recently received the Bob Cannon Lifetime Achievement award from the Associated Landscape Contractors of Colorado.
After growing up in Bismarck, McKenzie moved to Fargo to attend NDSU. She graduated with a Horticulture degree in landscape design as of 2014.
She was on the executive board for the Horticulture Club at North Dakota State University. Being involved in hort. club opened up a lot of doors. She quickly became involved with the student PLANET career days and attend 3 years in a row.
McKenzie has gained experience within this industry by working alongside a master gardener, obtaining a summer job with a tree care company injecting and spraying for disease, and working at a designing company in Fargo. McKenzie has been trying to get as much experience as possible within different parts of the landscaping industry.
She is very passionate about the landscaping industry and loves passing on her knowledge to customers. She will work with you to explain her thought process behind what is being installed from start to finish.
Lauryn has worked in several different industries and her attention to detail and need for organization has allowed her to contribute to the success of many small businesses. She enjoys the diverse day to day tasks that come with working in an office as well as creating and maintaining successful working relationships with clients and vendors. Lauryn’s enthusiasm for learning and helping others is what makes her great with client relations as well as her peers.
