The homeowners wanted to create an environment that they would utilize and experience. We used natural flagstones for the patio area and walkway. For dimension, we added raised planter beds made out of Borgert Strassen wall blocks.

The owner wanted a space to spend time with his family outside. This project was difficult because it was an existing yard that we did not want to damage the yard. There was also a fence that made access difficult. During the project, we had to work with site coordination, as the deck was also being remodeled. We had to discuss when and where we would be working so we would not get in each other’s way.
In order to keep the existing yard from getting damaged, we had to keep in constant contact with other builders. Since we didn’t want to ruin the yard we also laid plywood down to avoid lawn tracks.
Adding the Karl forester grasses gave height and texture to the space. The homeowners also wanted to incorporate an area of native plantings, so we added a large section with a mixture of seeds that flower at various times of the year. They now have a clean and organized garden area to use with raised planters and ground-level beds with easy access. The family loves their space and is outside as a family much more!
They now have a clean and organized garden area to use with raised planters and ground-level beds with easy access. They also have a beautiful sitting area with large stones and enough sitting space to entertain guests. We also added string lights which allow the family to enjoy their new space even when the sun goes down. Overall the family was really happy with the final results and now spend a lot more time as a family together outside.
The client was very impressed with their newly remodeled yard that they invited a musician to come over and perform in their new space.
